for the highest priced residential real estate outside of the Houston central city. Lots were to be priced in the $400K to $1 million range. The proposed gated community was to provide an “ultra private” living environment for CEO’s and move up households in the northern area of the Houston metro area. A Jack Nicholas Signature golf course and prestigious golf clubhouse were the key amenities. A distinctive “Non-Woodlands” style was desired by the development team.
The hardscape design played off of the “Northern Italian” theme established for the golf clubhouse. The use of granite cobbles, stone rubble and weathered stone column caps defined the landscape theme. Asymmetrical entry monuments, highly detailed graphics, lighting, fencing and gates, extensive lighting, more formalized planting and individually designed neighborhood entries all contributed to the hand crafted appearance of the village. The Design Team explored many options before and during the construction process to “perfect” the resulting village environmental character. The project set the standard for high end residential sales in the year 2001 for the Houston region.
